What a sh!tty NYE

I sure hope that last night wasn't an indicator of what's in store for 2010. Yeesh. The "easy" curtain project took me 10 hours total. And, I rang in the new year with a safety tech from the gas company due to a gas leak from my water heater. The whole house smelled like rotten eggs, and I had to air it out so the temp dropped to 6 degrees in my house! Hellish, just hellish. DH was out at a movie and then headed to din din with friends and he planned to pick me up some dinner on the way home. Well, in classic DH fashion, he took his sweet time and didn't show up with my food until 10:00! Brutal. I hope you guys had a better evening than I did.

That stinks Mel (quite literally). After deciding previously that we were going to stay in and rent a movie we decided to go to our friend's house in the city which wasn't really worth it. We got to see a couple of friends that we don't see often but there was some really frustrating other people at the party including a whole bunch of teenagers.

That's poopy. My evening was quite fun, though (which I'm thankful for after my migraine last NYE). I actually drank quite a bit and had a blast doing that! I'm sure your night won't be an indicator of the year.

That does suck. Technically that all happened in 2009 though - right? So 2010 has to be better.

We had a lovely quiet evening with books and take out Thai food. After the rush of Christmas socializing we just couldn't find the energy to be around people.

We didn't have a wonderful NYE either. My H was feeling sick and went to bed at 9pm after we left his sister's place (we were there for about 40 minutes max). We're not huge NYE people, so it wasn't a big deal. Maybe next year will be more eventful. I'm just glad he's feeling better now.

Ours sucked too...we all got sick with Norwalk virus. Apparently there is an outbreak in Kingston, and DS brought it home from daycare. WE were all in bed by 9, although we were up many times through the night.
