Re: spark people?
I am a member...My name is JenaLHarn. I don't necessarily "like" the site, but I've only used it a few times. I tried the calorie counter for one day, it was really discouraging. I think I eat pretty well, apparently my problem is portion size. boo. That is something I am working on!
G/L with it!! Are you going to incorporate exercise as well?
I was wondering about the Wii Fit. H and I were talking about it today. His cousin got a Wii for Christmas and now he wants one. I said I wouldn't mind if I could get a Wii fit.. but then I got to wondering how effective the Wii Fit really is? Gonna have to do some research on that.
If your cable company has on-demand work out videos I would definitely recommend those! We have brighthouse and we have exercise on demand. There are a ton of workouts. They have the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I'm on day 7 (I don't do it every day, i do it on days I don't run). I really like it!
G/L!
I wanted the 30 day shred for christmas but DH said it was sold out.
The wii fit looks like a really fun way to get in shape. we tested it out this evening. There is strength training, yoga, aerobics, balance games and another section of games (we got the wii fit plus so that extra section is not on the original)
I did the super hula hoop exercise from the aerobics section and I definitely felt the increase in heart rate (and the burn in my abs).
You can set goals on it, and it tests your balance and posture too. I got a Wii Fit age of 41!!! eep. I need to improve my balance to help my wii fit age get closer to my real age! +13 years is WAY OUTTA SHAPE.
but the wii fit isn't going to be all I do. I also got a stability ball that comes with a work out dvd and I am going to try that out too. And I want to start swimming again too.
I got one of these as well. I've used it twice. I feel super stupid doing it. I have no balance what so ever and H is always in the room when I do it...i just look dumb. OH well.
