Re: How was your weekend...

  • Mine wasn't too bad.  I got a cold last week and still have it so that sucks.  DH and I stayed downtown Thursday and Friday and just relaxed which was nice.  I took a lot of naps because I wasn?t feeling well and we watched football. DH had to wake me up at midnight to ring in 2010 and then I fell back asleep.

The rest of the weekend we didn?t really do much.  I?m hoping I get over this cold fast because I?m starting new job within my company next week.

  • My weekend was very relaxing.  NYE was fine, we went and hung out at our friends house.  We left at 12:04 because it is so hard for me to stay awake.  I did a lot of sitting on the couch this weekend.  I had plans to take our XMas trees down but they are both still up and fully decorated.  I will work on them this week.  We were supposed to have a family XMas thing yesterday, but it was rescheduled because it snowed for 3 days.

  • We got a lot done this weekend which was good.  The lights outside came down Friday because we knew we were getting snow Saturday and Sunday.  I took the tree down and did some laundry and cooking.  We actually went to bed New Years Eve cause we both worked on Thursday and were up early.  We both feel old but we were just so tired, we knew we couldn't make it.  Haha.

  • New Year's:  It was good/okay.  Dinner company was great.  H's shift at the station.  They didn't plan well and we were stay 45 minutes after our reservation and the food wasn't up to par with the usual there.

After dinner, we stopped at a friends and then ended up at the bar by ours house to meet up with some other friends.

New Year's Day H and I spent with my grandma.  That was great!

The rest of the weekend was okay.  It's been freezing cold!

  • NYE was fun - we hosted a party and had some friends over.  Ended up staying up until about 4:30am...  which is great, considering I didn't think I'd make it past 1:00!  NY Day, we slept in until about 1:00pm, never showered, wore our pjs all day and just vegged out watching football and playing Super Mario Bros. on the Wii.  I also made some chicken chili.  It was a nice, relaxing way to recover from the NYE festivities!

This weekend was pretty much just reserved for relaxing and recovering.  I had 11 days off of work that came to an end today, so I wanted to chill as much as possible.  We played some poker on Sat. and went to my parents' last night for dinner - that's about it.

Oh, and the Buckeyes won the Rose Bowl!!  Big Smile

  • We went to a charity Gala on New Year's, which was fun. Our friends met up beforehand to get dinner. Then after the Gala, we decided to act like college kids and go to IHOP afterward, so we got home about 3 a.m. I usually go to bed about 9, needless to say I was useless on New Year's day.

DH's birthday was yesterday, so we had friends over to grill out, and saw the Blind Side in the afternoon (finally!). What a fantastic movie!

  • Our weekend was good. On Thursday I spent the day cleaning and cooking because we were having some friends over. We stayed up until 2:30 or so. We had a few friends that slept over. New Year's Day was very quiet. DH went help a friend finish moving into a new apartment. They both came over for lunch and to watch the LSU game. I took down all the Christmas stuff. I spent the afternoon working on lesson plans and other things for school this week. On Saturday, I went do some shopping and spent the afternoon at my parent's house. DH and I went out to dinner that night. Yesterday, I had a bridal luncheon for the wedding I'm in on Friday.

  • DH and I had a low-key night for NYE...stayed up for the ball drop and then were in bed by 12:04. Not even kidding. We felt old but were so glad we did it the next day.

New Year's Day, I went to my parents' house and had dinner with my parents, aunts and uncles: collard greens, black eyed peas and cornbread...the standards.

I stayed at my parents' house until today when I came back home. DH had to work today and we had just gotten back from Shreveport (10 hour drive) so he didn't feel like riding in the car anymore (my parents live 3.5 hours away).

  • Busy, busy, busy! (at least it felt that way!)

We spent a quiet NYE at home and watch My Best Friend's Girl for the second time. Its hilarious! Then we watched tv in bed and I think I fell asleep at about 11:45.

New Year's Day I spent cleaning out my spare room to start making room for a nursery. Then DH and I went to see Avatar 3D with my parents and we all had dinner at Chili's. I think I fell asleep by 9:30! My excuse is I'm Pregnant! Lol!

Saturday was more cleaning. We are finishing the basement, so I was down there all morning with DH rearranging our junk and making room for him to finish the drywall. Then Sat night we went out for pizza with another couple who share the same due date as us. We had a lot of fun. Its nice to have another girl to talk to who is going through the exact same things :)

Sunday was super lazy for me. I just lounged around and did some more cleaning. I don't think I even showered (ugh. lol).

Hope you all enjoyed the end of the holidays!
