Is there a reason for the specific number of miles you are trying to do? I was just curious 
I saw on MM your post about waiting to hear back on a job, but I don't remember when you posted - any news yet?

it's motivation
1000 miles was too much, given that i only run on average 3 miles per day that i run, which is usually 4 days/week. 750 makes me run longer runs each week, but not too much. we'll see how it goes!
i haven't heard back yet about that job, thanks for asking! it should be sometime this week. i went against "typical" job courtesy and emailed the recruiter last wednesday, which was when they said they'd have an answer by... i emailed her late in the day and she said it had been delayed a week. UGH!
Sounds like a good challenge! Looks like you're off to a great start, too.
Eh, I don't think that's too against typical courtesy, at least you didn't have to spend the whole weekend pondering why you didn't hear from them. I'll be sending **job dust** your way, I really hope you hear good news from them soon!

I've never heard of anyone setting a goal like you have, to run X number of miles in a year! That sounds awesome, very ambitious! By the time you get to Nov./Dec. you won't be able to just give up on a goal like that, expecially when you see that you've gone 600+ miles!
