Movie Review #2...

Saw Sherlock Holmes w DH yesterday... (we are sooo not ones to go to the movies)

I have been wanting to see this for so long that-although we enjoyed it-I think I hyped myself up for something I thought would be better.  And it lead for a sequel, too.

We did enjoy it, though... esp the parts where you see his mind play out what he's going to do in slo motion before it happens for real.  Pretty neat!

Re: Movie Review #2...

  • I want to see it but I am willing to wait for it to come out on demand.  There are very few movies that I actually want to see in the theater.  I'm too cheap to pay 40 bucks to see a movie.
  • I really want to see it, but I'll probably wait for it to come out on DVD too.  I hardly go to the movie theater anymore since it's so expensive.

  • Glad you liked it!  I really want to see it too, so maybe next weekend.  I have a free ticket to Regal cinemas from using my rewards card and it expires on 1/15.

  • I have absolutely no interest in seeing this movie.
  • Robert Downey Jr. was so good in Iron Man...and I love Jude Law...so I really want to see this.  Thanks for the review!

I was a little put off by Holmes as the opposite of a buttoned up figure that I'm used to... but I still want to see it.

  • We saw Up in the Air last night.  The movie itself was great, but the theatre was SO. CROWDED.  Ugh.  I think I'll wait til Sherlock Holmes comes out on DVD, so we can limit our time in crowded theatres.

We still have to see Avatar in 3D, though...

  • Karrey-we're too cheap, too, but we went to a 5pm showing that was $6/ea, so it wasn't that bad... and NO popcorn/soda... they tend to get you there moreso than the movie, itself!

  • Ohh, DH and I really want to see this. We got some movie passes for Christmas. Now just to actually leave the house after work...
