Me again...
?
I am looking for a good place (not too far) for a "girls only" weekend. ?Maybe the spa could be involved :-) ? Any ideas? ?
Re: girls trip
The Spa at Norwich Inn is FAB. But pricey.
Ditto baker for the casino. I did a girl's weekend at Foxwoods once- we got a special on the room rate & then just paid $20 to hang out in the spa (use the pool, hot tub, sauna, etc). We didn't get treatments because of the price, but it was still great! They have so many good restaurants (Shrine & Alta Strada are my favs).
I've also done girls trips to Newport, the Berkshires, and Loon Mountain. All very fun!
The casino was a good idea- I've heard Mohegan Sun is better, though. I've never been to the spa at either, just to a show, dinner and gambling at Mohegan, and dinner and gambling at Foxwoods. They're actually having a big wine festival at Mohegan the last weekend of January, but I heard it's about $100 each, so kind of pricey. But Bobby Flay is going to be there, so I'm really tempted to go anyway...
Also, I haven't been there in years, and I hear the new management has taken it downhill, but the Cliff House in Ogunquit, ME is supposed to have a nice spa.
Oh! I didn't know that was going on at Mohegan! H and I are planning to go that weekend to try the new Bobby Flay restaurant there. I wonder if we'll be able to even get a reservation!
