Bi-weekly (Friday) mortgage payers??

Our mortgage was supposed to come out of the chequing account last Friday (Jan 1) but it didn't. I figured since it's a holiday, it would show up in the account today. It didn't. Our mortgage shows as paid on Friday but the amount wasn't withdrawn from our chequing account. Is anybody else having this "problem" due to the holiday?

It happens all the time with ours, whether it's a holiday or not. They quite often take it out a day or two after it's supposed to be withdrawn.

We are having the same issue. Today should be mortgage day. I thought ours would have been on Saturday because we are with TD but we also get money on the second business day of the month and well with TD that should have been today and it hasn't shown up. If things haven't gone through by tomorrow call you bank.

I pay every Friday, and whilte it was taken out on the 18th, it wasnt again until the 29th (delayed from Christmas day)... and it still hasn't from last Friday. I'm not too concerned.

We're credited for paying Friday but the payment won't show as out of my chequing account until the evening of the first business day. Which is the long way of saying it should come out tonight.

Our mortgage payment is due today, and I just checked and it hasn't been taken out yet. I'm not too concerned, as it usually isn't gone from the account until just before midnight.

All of our other bills, condo fees, insurance, mortgage insurance were also due to come out on the first and haven't been withdrawn yet either. I won't be concerned until the end of the week.

thanks ladies, now that it's past the end of business day I thought it would have gone through, but it still hasn't. I guess I will wait until the end of tomorrow and if it still hasn't I'll call the bank.

I'm sure it will be withdrawn shortly...it is after all - a bank, and they like to take our money!!

None of my automatic withdrawals ever happen before I go to bed, I'm sure it will be gone in the morning if you usually check Saturday and it's gone. Even though it's all electronic it's still based on business days.

DH and I both paid our mastercard bills and the mortgage came out, our account is back down to more "normal" levels, boo-urns, here I thought we could afford a nice vacation lol.
