Unfortunately I was surprised at work today with learning I was being laid off, as well as two other people who have the same job title as myself.
Does anyone have any connections in social service agencies/hospitals/etc. in the Cincinnati area?
Re: Got laid off today...
I don't, but I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job. What a crappy way to start the year.
I used to work for Lighthouse, and they always used to be short-staffed. I don't know if it's still an issue for them, but that's a place to consider.

I'm so sorry to hear that! What a horrible surprise.
My DH's cousin works for HCJFS and is fairly high up I believe. I don't know if that's something you'd be interested in or not.

I don't have any leads but I wanted to say I'm sorry. It sounds like you may have a couple leads on here already. Good Luck with your search.
I'm so sorry to hear that. What a crappy surprise right after the holidays.
Like Jersey said, I would look at Lighthouse or Talbert House. Good luck with your search. I'll definitely keep you in my thoughts.
I am so sorry to hear about that! I have been laid off twice in the past year, both very suddenly (the perks of support positions), so I understand some of what you are feeling.
My mom is a nurse at the inpatient psych unit at Children's. They are always looking for mental health specialists and social worker's there. I would try any of the major hospitals/health associations.
I'm not really interested in HCJFS for many reasons, but one of them is not really having job security. They just recently laid off 500 people...
I used to work at BeechAcres Parenting Center and really enjoyed my work there--here is the list of their open positions

With a bsw and lsw (which I am assuming you have since you mentioned being licensed) you would be eligible for the bottom 3 listings--hope that helps! Also have you considered Drake in addition to some of the other larger hospitals I know they have some s/w positions
