Tomorrow morning (Tuesday) my Mom is having a double knee replacement. We have to have her at the hospital by 5AM...
She'll be in the hospital for 3-5 days and out of work until March - but she's so excited to be getting rid of some of the pain and to have more stability walking! She's only 60 - but has a disease like Lupus that is eating her joints away.
I'm in Chicago for the next 2 weeks then I go back to MN for my 1st trimester genetic scrennings and to meet the MFM specialist who is going to advise on my already high blood pressure.

TTC #1 13 cycles, CP 6/09, TTC #2 1 cycle

Pregnancy Hypertension - inductions at 39w, I grow big babies: DD was 9 pounds 1 ounce 22 inches, DS was 11 pounds even 22 inches - both vaginal deliveries
Re: New Knees for Mom!!!
YAH for knees for Mom!!! I hope this takes away a lot of the pain (if she has any) and helps her!
Good luck with your screenings, etc, too!
I have always said that if I have to have my knees replaced, I want them done simultaneously.
Good luck to your mom (and you with your screenings!)
Congrats on your new knees, softskate's mom!
(My grandma got new knees and is like a new woman. Seriously, we sometimes have to jog to keep up with her when there's a sale).
Am I the only one who thought you were going to tell a dirty joke by the title of this post?
But since it's not, good luck to your mom and I hope she feels better super fast!
YAY for new knees!!!!
Hope it goes well and she recovers quickly!!
Good luck to your mom! We have a bunch of great hospitals here so I know she'll be taken good care of.
Good luck with your doctor visits too!
