Crestview / Brentwood / Allandale Realtor Suggestions

Hi.  Can anyone recommend a realtor that specializes in the Crestview / Brentwood / Allandale neighborhoods?  DH and I are kind of hoping to find a "buyer's agent only", but it's not crucial.  Our first home was new construction, so this is a new adventure for us and we really want to find someone we can trust.  TIA!

  • I recommend Milton Matus.  My MIL has used him in the past, but I haven't personally.  He specializes in the areas that you mentioned.  He has lived in Austin for many, many years and currently lives in Allandale.

  • Hey, Milton used to be my landlord when I lived in the Hyde Park area! He was a nice guy. Definitely knows those areas.

  • We're in Crestview - our realtor, Debby Lewis was a wealth of knowledge to us and helped us find an older house with "good bones".  She and her husband were awesome and really flexible at meeting us on the spot.  She spent months with us trying to find the perfect house.  As you're probably aware, that area turns houses really quickly, so be sure to find an agent who can meet you as soon as a house goes on the market, and sends you MLS listings as soon as they post.  We ended up previewing and putting an offer on our house within 6 hrs of the MLS listing going live. . .

  • That's where we live! No realtor rec, as ours didn't specialize in the area, but do make sure you check places out as soon as they hit the market-DH and I got lucky on our house, we fell in love with it, but moved too slowly to get it under contract before someone else. Luckily for us, the deal fell through and we got it the second time around. Good luck!
