Update on my mouth wash

So I called my dentist because I was curious about the whole thing.  He explained to me that's part of the reason he doesn't recommend the Crest Pro-Health.  Some people don't have enough bacteria in their mouth the product works so well that for the people who are "lucky" enough to have a ton of bacteria in their mouth, the mouth wash literally cleans their mouth of ALL the bacteria (you are supposed to have at least a little in their), that's why some people say they get stained teeth, they use it daily and consume "staining" foods/beverages and their mouth's "so clean" that their teeth/gums and tongue absorb the staining and chances are that's when they're noticing the staining on their teeth (after consuming said items).  He told me to back off on using it daily and try it every other day, if that is too much, back off to every 2 days using a different brand (he of course said the Act) in between.  He said if I don't feel a difference it's because my mouth just doesn't have enough bacteria to use that product and to stop using it all together, unless I enjoy the numbing/taste difference sensation.  So apparently right now my mouth is "too clean", didn't think that was possible.

I feel much better now, but I think I'll just stick with the Act Total Care (or Listerine).
