Ladies, How was the weekend?
Do anything neat?
Me and FI went to Downtown Charleston, checked out the Battery. I always forget how cool it is Downtown. I love all the old houses and the gas lamps. And the gardens. Sigh.

not really. got a steroid shot- painful and pretty much made me not want to do anything bc it bruised my lip.
before that though we FINALLY picked up our wedding album!
My weekend was good! Sat morning I went and got my SC drivers license so I'm now officially a SC resident! I meet Lauren and her husband for lunch at Marys, then went to the store. Got home and made a HUGE batch of potato soup, my FAVE. We put a lot of it in the fridg and the rest in the Freezer. Then we went to our Home Owners Association "Adult" pool party. It was a lot of fun and nice to meet our neighbors!
Sunday we had church, then took it easy for the afternoon, I roasted a whole chicken then pulled the meat off the bone and stored them in the freezer in individual recipe size servings. Sunday evening we had our first meeting with our new small group for church. Last night I applied for a few local jobs. Last week my manager got laid off at my current employer so I can't help but fear I may be next!!! YIKES.
I had a bridal shower I was helping host on Saturday - it was fun! DH went to the Carolina game and got home late and sunburned...poor guy...
On Sunday, we had church and it was awesome - really, really awesome! Then we went out to lunch for my Grandmother's birthday, and she wanted to go bowling afterwards, so we did. :-) She was so cute - every time she got a strike (she's a really good bowler!) she'd do a little dance. She's in her 70's, ya'll! I was amazed! She's not your run-of-the-mill Granny!
Then DH and I crashed at home. We were both exhausted.
Icky Monday. I need another day off.
Saturday DH and I worked in the yard almost all day and it looks great now. We DVR'ed the game and watched it that night while eating homemade appetizers.
He left yesterday for a business trip down in Myrtle Beach and won't be back until Wednesday so my brother came and visited and spent the night. I am currently waiting on him to wake up so we can go play tennis.
my weekend was not that great. My mom got married on saturday and had the reception at her house. I was in charge which was fine. Everything was fine for the first hour until everyone started drinking and her friends really bother me. They are just raunchy people. and I know that isn't nice to say about your mom's friends, but they are. Then DH got plastered and I had to deal with him. I ended up spening the entire carolina game cleaning up and still didnt' get it all done because no one would help or clean up after themselves. Then that night my sister and her bf were supposed to be hanging out at our house but instead went out with friends, so the day didn't go as i had planned.
Sunday was my in-laws 30th anniversary so we went out to red lobster, yum yum. We had a really good time. Then DH and i went to target and bought my pink dyson!! i was so excited, it's pretty bad when the highlight of your weekend is a vacuum but i love it!
