moms/moms to be - books for DH?
DH's bday is in a week. I was thinking of getting him a book about being a daddy-to-be. Was there a book in particular that your DH really enjoyed/appreciated?
Thanks!!
Re: moms/moms to be - books for DH?
I got DH two books -- one more fun, one more informative.
1. Dad Lab's Guide to Fatherhood: Pregnancy and Year 1
http://tinyurl.com/yclt9xz
2. The Expectant Father
http://tinyurl.com/y927ujm
He started with the first one and now diligently reads the second, which is organized month-by-month with lots of helpful info. It goes beyond just the physical and emotional stuff, and also provides helpful tips about finances and lifestyle changes that come about after baby arrives. Even I read it!
I got Ben two - the first one, My Boys Can Swim, was mostly for fun, and he LOVED it. He laughed out loud all the time when he read it!
The second one was The Expectant Father - a bit more serious/practical (I read reviews of like 25 different books before I chose this one, and it's been excellent - I've read it from a pregnant woman's perspective as well, and it's still really good).
Ditto. He also got The Expectant Father" from my parents, but found it difficult to read, even though it had good information.
This, it's a great book! They also have a Be Prepared website that has lots of good stuff (it's where we got our free download of white noise). Of all the dad books we looked through, this was def the best in terms of entertaining AND informative.
I've posted this before but it is truly an awesome dvd and dads-to-be seem to enjoy it more than sitting down and reading dutifully (even my husband...and he is normally a bookworm, I just could not get him to sit down and read any books on babies):
