Question Re: Photoshare Cards...

Quick question...for those of you that used photoshare cards for your wedding guests to upload their pictures to - did any of your guests use them?  What was the response?

We had them printed with precise directions and everything and not one single guest uploaded pictures.  I just wondered if anyone else had the same or a better experience with them.

Re: Question Re: Photoshare Cards...

  • We also had them printed with precise directions... only 2 people used them... le sigh.
  • We also had instructions on business-card-size photoshare cards at the reception.  We didn't hand them out, but they were at each table and a bunch were right by the guestbook.

We only had about 4 guests post their pictures and my mom was one of them.  I got a lot more through Facebook, so I know they exist, the guests just didn't use the site we put up.  I still think it beats the price of disposable cameras though.

  • Only the grooms dad :)  and the photos were awful!

My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
  • Most people didn't even take the cards that we had sitting out by the guest book and of those who did we didn't have even one person use them (not even my own mother).

  • We had the cards by the guest book but no one took them.  I sent them out with our thank you notes.  And everyone who posted on facebook, I asked them to put them on my site.  Only a few did. More (older) people sent me disks of the pictures they took.
  • No one used ours, either. Some Facebook posts, but otherwise...nothing.
  • We had....drum roll......one person upload pictures!  WTF.....
  • We used them and not one person uploaded to our site. Several people used facebook - go figure.

There again, I'm not sure how many people even went to our site.

  • Judging from the count - we had lots of people look at pictures but almost nobody posted anything.
  • We put photoshare cards on our guest tables and only one guest uploaded pics- and that was my matron of honor.
  • We had about 8 or so people upload. Many people loved the idea and went on to check pictures. If only that many uploaded pictures!

  • I made sure everyone got the photoshare cards, by handing them out individually.  I also posted on my Facebook and LiveJournal the next day, asking people to please post their photos.  We ended up having five people upload theirs, and got several hundred photos out of the process.  The picture in my signature is one of the amateur photos.
  • Ours were put out by the guest book and on the gift table.  Some were also scattered on tables.  Practically no one took them, based on the amount I brought back home.  We sent them out with every TY card, and to this day have only had 3 guests upload pics!  One of those guests took the WORST pics, they're so blurry and just plain bad quality.

I even sent out an email reminding people about the website, since 20 people have joined the group room on Snapfish...  nothing new yet.

A few people uploaded pics to Facebook, but they're such low-quality pics, I can't do anything with them...  grrrrrrr.

I KNOW there are so many more pics out there!

I would love it if the couples from the two weddings we've attended since ours had photosharing sites; I took a ton of photos for those brides, and have no idea how to get their photos to them now!

  • We put the cards out at the sign in table, and also placed them at everyones seat at the dinner tables.  Most of them were still left at the end of the night.   My 2 sisters were the only ones who downloaded pics!  Several other relatives have emailed us pics, so I just added them to the website myself.  I was very disappointed-- I really thought all our friends would have added them!  Luckily our photographer took over 1400 pictures-- so we have plenty to choose from!  Still, it would be fun to see all the candid shots from our guests point of view...............
