I wish I were someplace warm!

It's a chilly 13 degrees here and snowy booooo. DH and I have been lazy tonight and munching on leftovers from New Years...not a good start for my diet but oh well! I realllllly want chinese but do not want to go out and get it! Why can't those places deliver?

What is everyone else doing tonight?

Re: I wish I were someplace warm!

  • About the same: cold, snowy, and eating badly.

Except I did venture out to get the Chinese food, ugh.

  • Yeah... it's cooooooooooooooooold here too! : )  All of 2 degrees.  Hate to say it, but I think it's heading your way!

  • We just got back in from BIL's overly-extravagant wedding, in a blizzard, in Maine.

I've been dreading this day.   BIL is my husband's TWIN brother, to make it worse.  Yeah, thanks for having a wedding just 2.5 months after ours, with 5X the budget.  That blizzard?, it's called karma!

  • Ugh I know! I had some family members get married around the same time I did and I felt like everyone was comparing weddings. Ours was on the lower end of all the budgets so I made jokes about people not getting their hopes up. I felt like I had to forewarn people that it was not going to be crazy upscale. Looking back, I wish I would have kept my mouth shut. My wedding was beautiful and it did not break the bank!

As for the weather, I just took down all of my Christmas stuff and I don't heavily decorate until September-December so all of my normal decor is more country/summer cabin. I am hoping for spring to be right around the corner! Cool

That's enough out of you.  Talk to me again when your nostril hairs freeze together.

  • ME TOO!!! Its in the teens today but with this horrible wind it feels like 2 degrees! (thats what the weather channel said, not just me whining)
  • Me too, but I guess that's what the midwest is all about, right?!  And probably a lot of the rest of the country too!

DH and I went to my mom's for dinner last night and when we drove home, it was only 6!  But I'm warm now... I'm in my Snuggie!

  • Please, all of you come over for a late lunch BBQ at my place.  It's 60 degrees, my front door is open to let the sunshine in, and I am SO HAPPY.

  • Millie I'm on my way!

I don't know if that's biologically what happens, but something to that effect happens.  You're fine inside, but the moment you step outside it suddenly feels like you have crud in your nose. It's an odd sensation.

  • I think my heart would stop beating if my nostril hairs froze together.
  • I had this sensation this a.m. as well - dog duty calls.  I always called it being so cold that your boogers froze.  lol... same idea.
  • I'm in North Florida, & we've been down in the 20's for the last few nights......  It's supposed to rain on Friday, so I have my fingers crossed for SNOW!!!!!!
