Is there any DVD scratch removers that actually work?

One of Eve's DVDs got scratched some how so it skips in one part and I think I have a DVD i have been meaning to fix too..

I have some scratch remover stuff from way back when, and I"ll try it, but I don't think it worked well the first time around.

I saw the Memorex Optifix Pro thing.. Its only like $20.. so I might try it.. but if it doesn't work, I'll just save my $$

  • No-one else has replied so I'll put my wacky 2 cents in. Someone (I think DH) told me to use toothpaste on scratched CDs. I've done it with plain old white paste, we're a crest family btw, and it worked pretty good.

  • The first thing we always try is windex.  Spray some on, leave for a few seconds, then lightly wipe.  Don't rub like you do on windows, just let most of it airdry.  It works with fine scratches and such like the kind you always find on Netflix dvd's.
