XP: Poconos

Which resort is better: Split Rock or Great Wolf?  Or are there any other good kid friendly ones?  Thanks!

Re: XP: Poconos

  • I just heard that there is an indoor waterpark by Great Wolf.  Other than that, I can't help you out. Sorry.
  • Split Rock has an indoor waterpark as well.  I've been to Split Rock a few times and have enjoyed it there.  Never been to Great Wolf, so I can't comment.

  • I read bad reviews about Split Rock on TripAdvisor, but I always take them with a grain of salt.

DH's Christmas party this year was a weekend at Great Wolf and we loved it!  We just had a basic room, but they are all suites, so there was a couch, balcony, etc.  The waterpark was a ton of fun and they have a 21 and over hot tub which we really liked because we don't have kids.  It is def a kids heaven with a kids spa, build your own race car shop/racetrack, arcade, etc.  There is a Starbucks as well and a buffet, which is where we ate.  The food choices were plentiful and it was your average buffet (nothing over the top spectacular, but def good).  The location is also good if you want to go to the Crossings Outlets.  Let me know if you have any specific questions!

  • We weren't that thrilled with Great Wolf. Maybe if it hadn't been so expensive, but we paid way too much for just having a so so kind of time.
