I'm bored, Hunter's napping and I already cleaned and did laundry...plus I am enjoying him snuggling on me and don't want to get up and put him in his swing.
So anyways, if you could open up your own business what would it be?
Mine would be a doggie hotel/boarding/spa - a nice big place with lots of places for the dogs to run and play while their owners are away. I love the doggie spa my dogs go to but I am afraid to leave them there overnight they have to sleep in kennels. I want to open up one with luxury accomodations for pooches (and I guess cats too).
That, or a used book store. However, in imaginary business practice I can see how that would not be at all profitable.
Re: If you could....
Pickle store and beer brewery. On my farm. I'd do it in my them in a giant barn and every so often I'd have beer and pickle parties in it and the community could come and hang out, sampling my goods.
Sigh.
Also I want to open a gastro pub restaurant somewhere near my hometown. The walls would be lined with used books that you could take and read while you enjoy your beer. Also it would have big screen TV's by the bar and a really awesome brunch on the weekend so you could eat brunch and watch football!
Ok, that last one I more wish it just existed so I could go there.
B&B. DH seems to think my baking skills will suffice to make guests happy, LOL
That, and selling crafts, made with natural fibers or recycled materials.
Oh Man! I have a couple!
A fancy Flower shop!
A bakery
My own wedding consulting boutique!
OR all THREE in one space! How cute and fun would that be!
(***as I sit here waiting for my printer to print out stuff for my teaching certification classes***ugh)
I have always wanted to be a story teller. I LOVE reading to children of all ages.
Or the cake decorator thing... I could work at Agent's/Karrey's bakery!!!
Oh sounds like a plan
When you get enough money or I get enough money, we'll become partners!
There is/was a place in Venice Beach that is very similar to this called Library Bar (I think). Great food and beer. idk if anyone actually touches the books.
I will be working in Agent & Karrey's Flower Shop, part time arranging, part time busness ops. I almost opened one when I inherited money and expected a divorce settlement. Unfortunately, I'm still owed the divorce settlement and had to use the inheritance to pay for the divorce and a new car to replace the one the ex stole. I was thinking of calling the shop Crazy Daisy.
Did you guys know Hawaii is short of flower shops? I learned this while working for Teleflora. They can never fill all their valentine's or mothers day orders. I think it's because flower shipping is so costly (and they don't grow as many flower crops as you'd think). Still, it would be nice to have a flower shop in Hawaii.
And the problem is, your inventory dies (but you can sell them for cost on Fridays, like so many places here do).
I have thought too much about this.
I was planning on doing this with my inheritance from my Mother....close to 2.5 mill. I never saw a dime so needless to say, my dream never came to life.
Let's go to Hawaii!!!!
Hmm...shoe designer? I love doing crafts, but I suck at it. DH wants to brew his own beer, so probably doing marketing for that. Or campaign manager (poli sci major, what can I say).
Well, Dh and I are opening our own business, but we would like to expand it into much more as time goes on. Our final product we want is a cafe with self made coffee, tea, cocoa, soda, beer, and food like sandwiches and soup plus desserts. One day we will be there I'm sure. Right now, it's simply roasting coffee.
