Recommendations for visiting New Orleans
The hubby and I want to visit the New Orleans area sometime this month or next month. What is the weather like this time of year? Can we expect that it will be super rainy? I also want to stay at a mansion hotel or bed and breakfast- does anyone has recommendations for something romantic and well kept?
Thanks in Advance!
Mary
Re: Recommendations for visiting New Orleans
I do not have any recommendations on places to stay but when you are booking your trip keep in mind that Mardi Gras is Feb. 16th. So make sure you know that and check parade schedules and road closures.
Our weather here is so unpredictable but Jan. and Feb. are not normally real rainy months.
The problem with South Louisiana is you cannot predict the weather. It could be raining one minute and sunshine the next. I would typically say to not expect a lot of rain, but we were drenched last month, so everything I would normally say is out of the window. Expect temps to be in the 50s and 60s, but they could go much higher or much lower.
Basically, pack a little of everything. The French Quarter has lots of B&Bs, none come to mind right now.
