anyone changing to Fios or someone else?

We keep talking about it but I really don't want to have to change my email at this point.

Are you waiting like a month or so?

I feel like as soon as we'd go through the hassle of making the switch this would all be resolved. I'm going to try to hold out, but if it becomes clear that no progress will be made between Cablevision and Scripps- yes, we'll be switching companies. Not sure if we'd go with Fios or Direct TV.

Unless Scripps caves or Cablevision gets A LOT of cancellations, I don't see a resolution anytime soon... Remember the whole YES Network debacle years back - we went an ENTIRE season with NO YANKEE BASEBALL! I am stuck between a rock and a hard place... We just switched from DirecTV because we were constantly losing the signal... Fios is available in my town, but it isn't approved for my block... I plan on contacting Comcast to see if they are an option where I live... If not, I'm not sure what I will do... I'd switch to Fios in a heartbeat if I could...

I'm pretty sure we're switching to Dish Network, maybe even by next week. The prices seemed to be cheaper than we're paying now, anyway. This whole thing made me so frustrated -- the two channels I watch 99% of the time are HGTV and Food Network.

I called to complain and they of course said they are "working on it". In the mean time, they lowered our rates by almost $30/month. I want to switch but FIOS is not available in our area yet and I really do not want a dish.

No---I only really watched HGTV and Food Network when nothing else better was on--which was often. I see this as a blessing in disguise that will make me get up off the couch and do something else!

Ugh-that whole Cablevision/Yes yankees mess is the reason why we changed to direct tv.....but hey, at least we now have yankees, food network and hgtv...so its all good in the hood

holding out for now because

a) i've had no voice this week and can't make a potentially screaming phone call

b) we aren't going to be here much longer so i'm not sure it'll be worth making the switch.

i may change my mind in a few weeks if this hasn't been resolved. if we do switch, it'll be to Fios.

For now I'm holding out hope. Like a pp said, if it becomes crystal clear that it's just not gonna happen then we might look into Fios. Dish doesn't have the versus channel and I promise that J with no hockey is a lot worse than me with no Food Network.

The whole thing blows monkey chunks.

Same here. And I am thinking if no progress by mid-Feb we are switching.

We are only going to give it another week or two and then we are switching to FIOS. I feel like we pay a lot of money for our cable bill each month and Food Network is one of my favorite stations.
