Not as exciting as I had hoped.... :-)
The tech could only see the sac. Which is what I expected at 5 weeks, 3 days. However, the tech said I was measuring 5 weeks, 6 days, which has me a little concerned because that is almost 6 weeks and there was still nothing in the sac that we could see.
I guess I just have to wait a few more weeks and go back for another to get more definitive answers! We were just hoping that we would see something that would let us finally relax and start to enjoy the pregnancy, but we are still left holding our breath and hoping for the best....
Re: U/S results
I really wouldn't worry about the 3 day difference. I'm sure it will all be fine and that the little one is growing perfectly normal. I know its easier for them to guesstimate how far along you are earlier in the pregnancy, but if it were a difference of a week or something like that I'd be more worried. Take a deep breath - and just trust that your body will grow a perfectly healthy baby regardless of how far an ultrasound tech thinks you are.
Really, all you need to be doing now is relaxing and enjoying this - I didn't 'see' anything until around 12 weeks so for those first 12 weeks I was left wondering if I really was pregnant (besides the obvious ms, nausea and lack of period!). DH and I joked that for all we knew it could be a litter of kittens inside, not a baby! haha
Bubblegum Explosion
Hey, so just to let you know I had my first U/S at 7 weeks so you are right about there. Just relax and breathe.
I have said some prayers for you both.
