I've heard of pregnant women becoming very forgetful and doing stupid things, well, I guess I can chalk this up to that (or at least that's my excuse)!
Last Thursday (NYE day) I woke up early and decided to do a load of laundry. So, I grabbed the laundry basket, and at the last second, grabbed my iPhone, which was by my bed, charging overnight. I set it on top the laundry basket, and headed down the stairs. By the time I had reached the basement, I had already forgotten about the phone.
Well, you can probably see where this is going!
So, I washed my iPhone. And, of course, I didn't even discover this until after the entire cycle had completed. Naturally, it wouldn't turn on after such a tramatic event for it. But MH found this company online that specializes in fixing phones, iPhones in particular. So I chose their water-damage service, which was a whopping $99, but they promise to refund your money if they can't fix it. I had high hopes, since several of their reviews were from people who also washed their phones and had it successfully fixed.
Well, I just got off the phone with them, and they can't fix it.
They're shipping it back to me, and refunding my money. But now I need a new phone, which in the middle of my contract will be way more than $99. unless I get a cheapie phone for the next year and a half. And I loved my iPhone! I mean, seriously LOVED it. It had all kinds of helpful/fun apps, and was able to FB at work while on break (it's blocked from our work computers).
Boo! Anyway, I just wanted to share/whine. Thanks for listening!
Re: I guess this is what they call pregnancy brain....
oh that sucks!
It never hurts to call the phone company and see if you can get a deal anyways. With all the competition out there they sometimes bend. Is anyone else on your plan maybe you can use their upgrade credit if they are due...
