I just saw your interview post--GL to you. What happened with your old job? I'm sure it was recapped here--if it was relatively recent, can someone just point me to the post?

I was fired last week Monday. They said the quality of my work was outstanding but some things had fallen short in other areas. And to be honest, I'm glad.
It sucks financially and it sucks not having a job, because I do enjoy working. And it sucks applying for jobs while pregnant because hell...even though they can't discriminate you know they are thinking about it.
But I'm glad. I was getting burned out, and I wasn't enjoying work. I dreaded Mondays so bad. I like knowing that I could potentially get a job that would allow me to be home every night, and spend more time with DH. We've really cut back and I get to be home and cook dinner each night. I enjoy cooking.
I'm glad it's for the best, and you're handling it really well.
I went back and found your post. Are you going to do anything with the possible pregnancy discrimination?
People are such feckers with preggos--I was so naive before. I was out 12 weeks, and it took until after I was back at work to get paid for the vacation time I took after my 6 wks of short-term disability ran out. Meanwhile, I'm certain that everyone else who took vacation days this summer was paid for them without any trouble.
Then they tried to not pay me my 2Q bonus on the grounds that I was on leave when it was paid, despite the fact that my first day of leave was the last day of 2Q, and I worked every day up until then. And I accomplished every last one of my 2Q objectives. So because my ass wasn't physically in my chair when accounting finally got around to cutting the checks, I somehow didn't earn it? That took forever to sort out.
In summary, people are feckers sometimes, and I'm glad you're doing well despite that.
This place is trying to do that to someone here who is out right now. Fcked up.
