What do you usually eat for breakfast?

I've been having oatmeal and that tides me over pretty well... but I can only eat oatmeal for so long before I start going "Blech!"

I want to stick with a good breakfast routine.

Anyone eat anything really good in the morning?

Re: What do you usually eat for breakfast?

  • My breakfast is nothing all that exciting, but I like it, so that's what's important.  I usually mix Fiber One and wheat flakes with banana in skim milk.  I've always been a cereal in the morning girl =)

DH almost always eats egg whites - makes omelets or puts on toast/english muffins.

  • I know this sounds super gross, but I swear it isn't.

I like to crack an egg into a small, round tupperware, microwave it for 30 seconds (which basically is egg scrambling for lazy people) and then put it on a toasted multigrain english muffin. It was low on WW points when I was doing that and very filling and tasty.

Toast with peanut butter is also good.

  • I never eat breakfast. I'm naughty.

  • I eat oatmeal pretty much everyday.  Check out the blog www.katheats.com for some interesting oatmeal combos.  I like to mix banana and canned pumpkin in mine with a little bit of cinnamon.
  • i mix it up between some of these things ...

    oatmeal

    ww english muffin w/ PB

    yogurt w/ granola

  • cereal/milk and yogurt

    breakfast burrito

  • I usually have cereal with skim milk.

  • Lately I've been eating great grains cereal mixed with some Fage yogurt - yum!

If I'm in a hurry - I have a cereal bar and a banana on the drive to work.

    and coffee - always coffee.

  • Fage yogurt with granola.
  • I used to eat cold cereal, but have been on an oatmeal kick for months now. Sometimes with brown sugar, other times with fruit. Sometimes we have smoothies (fruit, juice, and soy milk).

  • Cheerios!!! I eat them once I get to work.
  • I wish I had a good answer, unfortunately with a 50 minute commute I usually eat on the way = cereal bar

I am never hungry right when I get up and so by the time I shower/get ready it's time to go

  • My favorite at the moment is Special K Red Berries and milk with a banana cut up in it!

  • Whatever I grab on my way out. Usually cereal or granola bars. Sometimes I'll heat up waffles if I have time, or put some butter on a bagel. I get bored with the same thing every morning.

  • I normally eat cereal (Cheerios, Special K, Raisin Bran, or whatever else is on sale) or oatmeal. When I have oatmeal I usually just have instant oatmeal, but the Prudence Pennywise blog had a post a while back about making oatmeal and I was going to give her suggestions a try.
  • 4 weekdays - light yogurt

    1 weekday - bacon & scrambled eggs or a ham & cheese omelette w/ peppers & onions.

weekends - usually cereal & milk; sometimes we go out or I'll make eggs.

  • I've got to have protein in the a.m. or else I'm hungry by 10...so, I make the Hungry Girl egg mug classic recipe and put it in a tortilla.  So yummy!

  • For me it's either oatmeal, cereal, or yogurt with grape nuts mixed it.  I'm usually eating on the go, so all of those (except cereal) are somewhat portable, and easy to mix with fruit.

  • I like egg white omelets. I chop all my veggies on Sunday and just have to throw in the pan during the week.

I'm also a huge shake fan. I use milk, banana and a tablespoon of low fat peanut buttter and agave instead of sugar. It's really good. It's also good if you use vanilla protein powder. The protein from the PB and powder tie you over and it tastes a little like a milk shake so it's like a "treat".
