I'm starting to really 'un-like' my MIL. She is so selfish and is such a drama queen. Everything is about her..BooHoo....Suck it up! My BIL is in Rome studying to become a preist and has completed 4/7 years. He's now not sure if this is what he wants to do. I told him [when we found out] that we are family and support any decision he wants to make. As his mother you would think she'd say the same....NO! "This is too hard on me" "I need time to adjust" "You (BIL) are stressing me out - it's making me sick"
Listen you lazy b!ich - this isn't about you, your son needs all the support he can get right now. This isn't an easy decision for him and he's turing to you. It's not a motherly thing to do when your son calls to 'vent' with you and figure out things for you to be crying and yelling how can he do this to YOU! Are you kidding me!!!!
Ok, here goes nuthin'........
I am starting to really resent DH's failure to get into shape and lose weight. I married a fit, muscular guy and now he's a fatty and snores like crazy, his Asthma is worse due to his weight and, while he complains all the time about it...he never does anything about it! I even bought him a treadmill and he's used it ONCE! I seriously do not find him attractive at this weight, at all. Our physical relationship has suffered and he just feels sorry for himself. I am not good at positive re-inforcement (it doesn't come naturally to me) so I tend to say nothing to him about it b/c I don't want to hurt his feelings. Vent over!
As much as DH is trying this week to be here and help out with Alexis, he is not able to slow down. He has been out or had us out running around every day this week. While I understand that he feels fine, I am still in a little pain and would appreciate a nap at some point during the day.....
But at least he's trying I guess.
I am in a similar boat...
DH has gained atleast 20 lbs since returning from tour and even though I am pregnant I lost 18 lbs and then have only gained 10 back so far.
He has no ambition to do something about it and laughs about it...
I am also tired of being passed up or excused at work because I am pregnant... I feel like i am handicapped the way I get treated sometimes...
I could go on forever if I had time
This week is a "furlough week" which means we were all forced to take unpaid time off from work.
However!!!! I was on call on Monday and again Today. I got called today, and I tried to work from home but the server was giving me issues, so I came into work and the server is still giving me issues (grrr). Our IT department said it will take longer to fix it because it is a furlough week.
When I arrived at work the parking lot is at least 25% full of people working today. So much for a real true furlough week!!! YEESH!!!
The work-around I ended up doing since the server is slow, I could have done from home, so it was pointless coming in. Sigh!!! And oh yeah, I don't get paid any extra for working today rather than being on call.
It been driving me nuts that ever since my FH and I got engaged another couple that we were close with has completely stopped taking to us. Before they would always invite us out and we would have a blast but that halted after FH proposed. Its been a year since we got engaged and we have seen them twice since then. The first time she tried to convince FH to talk to here bf about when he was going to propose and then let her know. FH didn't. I know she really wants her bf to propose but why does that justify eliminating us from their lives. I guess the reason why this brothers me so much is because it my FH's only non-work related friends that he brought into the relationship as he is from B.C. and all of his friends are still there except this one couple.
oh darn, that does sound frustrating. Definitely not flameworthy. Neither DH or I are from Toronto but I have more of "my" friends here from university so I know the way it is. Hopefully they get engaged soon so you can be friends again!
