What did you think?
(Hmmm now that I re-read, this could be flame-worthy)
Personally, they "lose" me with all these super-obese people. I like watching the people go through a transformation. I find it so motivating when they become all athletic and look so awesome. Instead of feeling motivated this season I kinda just feel grossed out. It's like they are glamorizing the "biggest people", like how Shay got that special offer last season finale. These people can barely compete in the competitions. To watch someone who weighs 400 or 500lbs lose weight, they always look pretty much the same to me at the end and it would take 3 or 4 "seasons" to get them to a healthy weight. meh- maybe I'm just crabby today.
Re: Did anyone watch the Biggest Loser?
I'm pretty much over the show. It's changed a lot since it began and not in good ways. I'm super happy people are finding health and they are tackling the mental issues people have with food which is great. The way they "play" the game disturbs me.
I see a huge difference from the first day til the final weigh in. However I'm just kinda not digging it for several reasons. The people are very unrelated able to me. I just can't find it inspiring anymore because their lives are so far from mine or anyone I know. I know several over-weight people but not the extremes they bring in for the show, which again...they are bringing in the biggest people because it will make for better ratings but for me...just meh.
I don't know....i'm just meh about it.
I haven't seen this new season but I watched the finale and a few episodes here and there. I think the transformations are incredible and I think that the show really does have an impact.
I want to watch a bit of the season and I will judge from there whether I will follow it. I am sure that I will be in and out of watching it. Just enough to know the drama but not enough to plan my life around it.
