I was readying your 'Crapballs' post about your stroller dilemna and thought I would offer to help, if I can. One of the benefits of where I work is that I get 40% off air shipping through Fed Ex. Maybe if you can tell me what the size & weight it is and where I would be shipping it to, I can go and ask them how much the shipping would be.Since it's FedEx it would probably be more expensive but it never hurts to find out for sure. A few times I have been REALLY surprised how cheap I've shipped stuff. Also, if you look on Phoenix craigslist for what you want, I would be willing to meet w/ them to pick it up and ship it. I have lots of free time & FedEx is right by my house so don't worry about it being an inconvinience.

Hi Lisa, I went and checked on the shipping cost today at Kinkos. She couldn't accurately tell me because I didn't have the package there w/me but she gave me a number to call (she said her computer didn't have the right screen where she can just type in the numbers). So I called the number and based on our zip codes, the weight and dimensions of the box, it came to $460 but w/ my discount it came to $135.22!!!
I'm going to call again tonight when they have had a shift change and ask someone to make sure the numbers come out the same and this isn't too good to be true.

I've asked my mom if she'd be OK to bring it out with her (since she's the first person flying out), and she was more than happy to do it, so that's my solid backup plan...but of course it would still be nice to have everything arranged ahead of time!
