I almost actually junk punched DH last night.

He went to some end of the college football season type thing at a restaurant bar/grill and told me he'd be home by midnight.  I expected him to be drunk, but just normal for a guys night out.

At midnight he calls me IN TEARS and tells me that the cab is going to be an hour late b/c of the weather.  Whatever, I say, I'm going to sleep, why are you crying?  Apparently he thinks I'm going to be mad so he is crying at the bar because he is THAT drunk.

What does he proceed to do?  Call me 8 more times in between 1-2:15 to update me on the cab situation before finally calling his mother for a ride.  So annoyed b/c cell phone ringing might wake baby up, but whatever, it didn't, DH comes home, passes out slumped over the side of the couch.  I move him and put a cover over him.

At 3:45 he then decides he wants to come upstairs to sleep.  He tries to take his jeans off only to fall flat on his ass LOUDLY which does wake Hunter up.  So I give the baby a bottle, rock him back to sleep in his room, then we go back to our room.  I put Hunter down and try to get in bed but DH has his arms and legs splayed and is snoring loudly.  I ask him to move.  "What?"

"Move.  I want in bed."

"You move."

"J, that doesn't make sense, move so I can get in bed."

*Loud snoring*

Motherfvcker passed out.  It was too much work to wake him up so I just took the baby monitor and slept in Hunter's room (there's a futon).

Ugh, I hate it when he goes out with his dumbazz college friends.  Usually its not this bad but one of their idiot friends is a bartender and gave them free drinks and overloaded their captain and cokes all night.  Although its not his fault, my dumbazz DH could have stopped drinking.  Or not gone out during a snowstorm.

Now he has to have baby duty until noon so I can nap.

  • Boo on J! I hope he makes it up to you!
  • Mmmmmm....captain & coke.

Sorry, got distracted for a minute. That's really lame of DH. I mean going out with his friends is one thing, getting so drunk he's an annoyance is another. I think he deserved a junk punch on this one. He could have at least left you alone to sleep and not be bothered by him, and not have taken up the whole damn bed...rude!! However, the punishment fits the crime. Enjoy your nap time =D

  • Wooooooooooooooooooah

That is so unacceptable with or with out a baby in the house! My Ex used to pull crap like that with me. It is SOOO disrespectful. There is going out and having a good time and then there is going out and being completly irrisponsible!

  • I had to laugh at that story, even though I feel really bad that he kept you up all night.

Agreed!  It's one thing to have some drinks when going out with friends, but to be that sloppy drunk was really irresponsible of him.  He definitely needs to make that up to you!

  • Yikes, what a pain!

You should go hang out with friends and leave him with Hunter for a night. And spread in the bed when you get back Stick out tongue

    Yeah!! What she says!!

  • CRYING!? Seriously!?

Wow, somebody forgot how to hold his booze with a new baby in the household!

  • This is outrageous!  At the risk of sounding old-fashioned, WTH is a married man out doing this for?  This is teenager stuff.  Hit 'em again for me.
