Omg, totally random but I LOVE your furbabies! Do you have girls or girl and boy? The DH and I are looking to find a breeder. I just love Cavs. Have you had any issues with seperation anxiety? Sorry for the 20 questions.

 Thanks!

Re: ***kac831***

  • Thank you! I love them too! ; )

I have a girl and a boy. They are from the same litter. Alot of people will advise you not to get two puppies at the same time. However cavaliers love being around people so much and with us working full time and discussing it with the breeder, we decided two is best. I am so happy we got two. They are each other's playmates and snuggle buddies. They are still happiest to be around us and cuddle with us, but i'm glad they have each other.

They are the sweetest most lovable lap dogs. I love that they are not hyper. They are perfectly happy to lay on the couch and watch tv. We take them for about a 20 minute walk most days, but if we can't its not a big deal.

Separation anxiety- has not really been an issue - they are crate trained and are perfectly fine if we are gone and they are in their crate. We have tried leaving them out before which results in them having anxiety, so we have learned their crate is best and that is where they are happy and feel safe.

We got them from a breeder in Winston Salem

This is another reputable breeder-  http://www.claymoorecavaliers.net/

If I was getting cavaliers again, I would get it from our friends parents. They are cavalier breeders. They recently moved from Ct to Highpoint. They are cavalier breeders, show cavaliers ect. They have nine!  While they are biulding their house there dogs were being held for them by other breeders until their house is finished. They are going to start breeding again once they are settled. I can give you their information if you want. They are very nice and will answer any questions.

  • Yea their info would be great, thank you. I'm thinking about going for a little boy but I've never had boy dogs before. Does your little one have any leg lifting problems?

  • Our little boy is much better behaved than our girl! I love them both of course, but he was easier to potty train, overall less needy, less likely to cause trouble- I don't know if its the difference between boy/girl or their personalities

He only just recently has started to lifted his leg to pee and hes almost 3. He only does when he has to go and in no way tries to mark things.

I'll have to get their info when I get home
