dreams...

I had a dream that I was in high school again and I was dating Edward. Yes, thee Edward Cullen. I know, I know....I jumped on the Twilight bandwagon a little late and I am in the middle of Eclipse. So it is hot on the brain right now.

I shared this with my co-worker because we were talking about Team Edward vs Team Jacob and she was so disturbed that a married woman would be dreaming about dating someone else. I mean she looked at me like I need psychological help.

Her reaction kind of bothered me but made me start wondering if you all have dreams like this? Tell me I'm normal, puhleeeeze!

  • It's a dream. That's all. It's perfectly normal. Especially when something is on the brain, like reading a book. Your co-worker be a wee bit over-sensitive.
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

  • I had a very graphic dream that I was sleeping with someone else. I told DH about it and he laughed. Our minds are weird, I wouldn't worry about it.
  • I think it's normal. Dating represents a lot of different things and dreams are a tool to explore your feelings. Also, if you're dreaming about books you read, I think that's totally normal since sleep lets you commit things from your short term memory into your long term memory.

The other night I dreamt that I was 5 months pregnant but we weren't sure if it was C's baby or another guy's (who I had apparently given a "dicktickle" to) and we were trying to decide what to do about it.

Right before we went to sleep we watched Manswers (one of the questions was 'In what country are women most likely to give dicktickles" or something) and then we were talking about paternity testing. So I'm pretty sure I know the sources of the dream. Still, it felt super real and C woke me up because I was trying to have a long talk about it with him while I was sleeping and he was leaving for work.

  • I have these dreams all the time.  Usually when it is a celebrity crush I wake up much happier than when it is an ex.  Those are the ones that startle me and make me look over to who's next to me in bed.  Thankfully I always see M.

    This. Especially #2.

And yes, your coworker is the looney-bird, not you.

It gives me great joy that this term is being used by others.

I'm friends with everybody in this office. We're all best friends - I love everybody here. But sometimes your best friends start coming into work late, and start having dentist appointments that aren't dentist appointments. And that's when it is nice to let them know that you can beat them up.
  • shag introduced me to the phrase "d!ck kick" which will now replace my usual "junk punch" terminology.
