But, baby, it's cold INSIDE!
I need to vent. I've had a rough 12 hours
After last night's fiasco, I get to sleep, and wake up for work. I notice the heater has been on for a while (sure, it's 20 degrees outside). Well, that ends up sucking for my shower. Our hot water heater heats the water and the heater, so no hot water for my shower this morning.
And I get to work, and they have the AC unit set to cool, not heat. So it's 65 degrees in the office. Even with jeans, a sweater, and a leather jacket on, I'm still freezing.
I guess I should be grateful my hair dryer worked.
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

Geeze... looks like you are going to have to run in place to warm up today!
yikes! sounds like an awful morning Leigha!
I like to be warm, so i've pretty much worn my coat & scarf all day every day at work. One advantage - I don't really have to care if my clothes match, bc no one actually sees them.

LOL! classic.
Why do they do this?? It's winter outside--what gives with the air conditioning? We're trying to conserve resources here. I regularly wear a coat and scarf in class and around my house (at home it's a different story--the heater is wonky and doesn't come on). Sometimes I even have gloves on, which makes writing a joy.
And jumping jacks are the only way to go to stay warm.

Our office does this because we have a few older women and overweight people who get overheated. But here's my problem with that. We're not allowed to have space heaters. Statewide agency policy (they must be approved on an individual basis, and they NEVER approve them). So I can't warm my own space up. BUT, there is no rule against fans, so the people who are hot could theoretically (a) wear lighter weight clothing or (b) use fans to cool down. But they're too inconsiderate to take that approach and make the rest of us suffer.

"Selfish jerkwads" is all that can be said on that matter.
