I think some messages say it's regarding cancer awareness. But I think mostly it's just to be silly.

Hehe I thought it was fun and was amazed at how many people did it on my friends list (and I didn't spam anybody!). My favorite one was "birthday brown" or something like that...I believe a fellow nestie .

Yeah, it's supposedly to raise breast cancer awareness. Last night I posted "leopard print with plaid trim and hot pink tassels." It was a more exciting than my real color, beige.

I don't see how it helps raise breast cancer awareness, any more than posting the color of my panties would help raise anal cancer or uterine cancer awareness. If I post a picture of my socks, will that help the toe fungus cause somehow?

I was confused as well. i said nude -- and then prefaced it with a friend that said how boring I sounded since I was wearing granny beige -- the responses I got from that were hilarious. Apparently there is nothing boring or granny about me according to those on my friends list!

I think it was mostly just to be silly. You know...how some emails have really nice messages in them but then end with "pass this on to 5 people or you'll die a horrible death"

I was not to sure either till my DH looked it up. I think the funniest ones were when the guys said what they were wearing! I guess with a snow day people have to be silly and if it raises awareness it is even better!

I at first thought it was silly too, but if you think of the number of people that acutally posted the color of their bra. The message obviously got around. If only 1/8 of those people did a self check it has made a big difference.

HA... this made me laugh! I do think it was just something silly, and I didn't participate, but I am not offended by those who did. Your post was just funny... I think I will start the sock trend!
