Doese anyone have any tips on books to read or web-sites on natural family planning? Im looking into this but I want to do a lot of research on it. Thanks girls!
Re: Natural Family Planning
I've used NFP to avoid for more than 40 cycles now. I love it. No artificial hormones, and I have so much knowledge about what my body is doing.
I recommend to anyone who is considering NFP that they take a class. You can probably learn NFP from a book, but I highly recommend a class because it's incredibly helpful to have the teachers there to review your charts and confirm you're interpreting everything correctly.
You can look up some teachers and NFP centers here: http://onemoresoul.com/nfp-providers
The Couple to Couple League (www.ccli.org) offers courses in the sympto-thermal method, and the Billings Method organization (http://www.boma-usa.org/) offers courses in the Billings method. I think there are also classes in the Creighton method, although I haven't gone looking for them. Local Catholic-affiliated hospitals may have courses occasionally as well...
Do you have any specific questions about NFP?

thank you so much guys! I appreciate it so much! I went to Barnes and noble and got "taking charge of your fertility." I'm really excited to start reading it. thanks so much for the links, I'm going to go check them out. I really want to take a class because I know I can read a book over and over but I would feel more comfortable talking to someone who knows a lot about it. Its so great to hear that it works so well for you guys.
See, I am on the pill and I am just sick and tired of the hormones and they dont agree with my body. I was thinking about getting an IUD but its still hormones and my doctor recommended that I dont get the copper IUD. I feel this could be a perfect thing for us.
