I confess that I seem to need a "fire under my butt" to really get stuff done at work. I do my job, and I work hard. But... if things aren't crazy, I just tend to work more slowly and procrastine more. (what, do I hear the nest calling?)
I confess that I am getting sick of colder, wintry weather already. (And, we'll probably have snow until early April. )Yuck!
Today I was hate hate hate-ing my job. like with the fire of a thousand suns. Hopefully Saturday will be better.
?I *think* I found an obgyn in my new city, as long as they are accepting new patients. I've just got to call. Meanwhile, waiting for my stupid period has me scouring the internets for homeopathic remedies. I drank a tea made with dried parsley which is supposed to induce menstruation, because I figured it really couldn't hurt. It tasted like grass clippings. Still no period. Awesome. ??
Hope the OBGYN works out for you and you're able to get in soon. AND - hope Saturday at the job is better!
Meagan, I havent had my period since Oct 27. I went to my gyno and he prescribed me Prometrium. When you find a gyno maybe ask if this is something that would help. Its supposed to jumpstart your period.
Confessions... hmm. This week is kinda blah. Im just waiting to hear back from the doctor about my test results. Its driving me crazy. I wish they could tell you bloodwork results right then and there so you can move on with your life- either way it would go.
My confession: I can't stand my ofc mgr. I know you guys have heard this time & time & again from me... Still rings true. She is seriously ridiculous.. this could get long & venty.. but here's the newest drama.. ugh. makes me cringe.
We had a receptionist put her 2 wks in back in Nov...fine. We hired someone new.... She wasn't "Fast" enough for ofc Mgr.. Ofc mgr tells new girl on her second day, "if you don't speed it up, i'm going to cut your pay". So how do you think that helped? It didn't. It made the poor girl do worse. That did not motivate her. She was terrified and couldn't focus on anything. She got worse. She made it 2 wks before she got fired.
New receptionist number 2: Mother of 5. SAHM for 8 yrs prior to getting hired at our facility... Worked at a clinic 8yrs ago.... Fine.... Very slow. Very. Not really picking up on things... We are scheduled to work a saturday together, so i can train her on Saturday procedures.... She doesn't show... about 11am we get a fax from her..basically says. - the long hours, and weekends will not work for my family & I. Sorry- I quit....(she also made it about 2wks)
..... we put an ad on craigslist (ofc mgr refuses to put one in the paper bc it costs to much....).... so we get about 20 resumes... some of them have valid experience. She refuses to interview anyone who doesn't come in and fill out an application ("She wants to see the person").....
So she interviews ONE FREAKING PERSON WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE WHAT SO EVER. SOMEONE RECOMMENDED HER. SHE WORKED IN REAL ESTATE. I'm livid. WTF is she thinking. She is making this hiring process really ridiculous and setting us up for failure once again.
New receptionist # 3 (current receptionist).... like i said. no medical experience. doesn't know the difference from one insurance to the next...copay or deductible...asks the same questions repeatedly and never writes down the answers... Don't get me wrong: I don't mind answering questions. BUT DAMMITTT WRITE DOWN WHAT I TELL YOU!!!!! lol, i'm sorry but i'm losing my patience. It's not her fault we are on our 3rd receptionist since November, I know that... She actually moves faster then the other 2. Thursday was a really rough day with her. I felt bad Thursday afternoon. I shouldn't be short with her, i know this, but dammmmit if she wasn't trying my patience. So Monday i am going to try very hard to be more patient. I want her to succeed because i'm really tired of this schedule/training people. Plus she is a really nice lady. I think she will be good once she gets it... it's just having the patience to give her the opportunity to make it is difficult.
