So DH got himself an oversized bean bag to use as a gaming chair (re: he exceeds the weight limit for most gaming chairs). I didn't really care for it from the start, it was a terrible brown color and looked like a massive pile of poo, not to mention it was so big there was really nowhere to put it. But it was comfy. It started ripping at a seam after about 2 weeks and it smelled kinda funny. Granted, the cat peed on it once, but that wasn't in the seam and it's vinyl, so nothing could have seeped in. I was curious yesterday and unzipped it to see what was inside and amongst the round styrofoam pieces were rat droppings

DH called the manufacturer: turns out, the one he ordered was from an outsourced company they don't often use and will probably not use again! He paid like $80 for it and they decided to replace it with a $300 suede one!! Score! But still, we've been sitting in that thing, him for hours at a time BLECH! So, um, check your bean bag chairs, ladies!
Re: bean bag chair warning
Eeeeeew! So gross. That reminds me of that special they did AGES ago on 20/20 about "recycled" mattresses. People would think they were buying a new mattress and then would start to get sick, smelly etc. Come to find out people were picking them off the side of the road moldy, old, smelly, etc and just applying a thick cover and outside. Ewwww.
So glad that you guys got something new and better with hopefully no rat droppings. I would have totally freaked about it thinking there was a rat inside. lol
The lady asked DH if there was a rat in it!! We weren't about to go digging through the diseased styrofoam to find out, but I'm sure the smell would have tipped us off from the start if there was one!
