Adios Ladies!
Since some of you asked in the Weekend Plans post...
I'm heading to Belize tomorrow to do service work with a group for the next week! We'll be building a house and working with an orphanage, its the partnering of a grassroots organization with an international organization, and they do some really wonderful work in Belize City, they do everything from build homes for families, to building and maintaing preschools and offering young people scholarships/grants to continue attending (high)school. Its great to see such a strong emphasis on education and empowerment, rather than handouts and donations (which are helpful and needed, but not the entire solution!).
