Does anyone else...?

...Get so overwhelmed immediately after sex that they cry?  I mean almost instantaneously after DH or I's climax (whomever is second) I get overwhelmed and start crying.  This is not a sad cry...a "happy cry" like a release of emotions.  It is only for a minute or two so no big deal.  And it doesn't freak DH out...he knows that if it happens...it must have been VERY good and intense for me.

Just wondering if anybody else does this sometimes.

Re: Does anyone else...?

  • I've only seen this happen on t.v. shows...(californication has a girl that does this...not a good example but it's the first thing I though of).

I guess it makes sense though, some people get giddy afterwards, so I suppose crying is just another way to release the emotions.  Do you do this everytime or just sometimes? Are you usually a 'crier' in your relationship (pretty sensitive or anything?)...I'm just curious really.  How did your H react the first time this happened?

  • No it is not every time by any means.  Maybe 3-4 times a year.  The first time it happened DH was scared that something was wrong...like I was hurt or upset or something.  But now he will just ask me if I am ok to make sure that nothing is really wrong.

Yeah I could say that I am a 'crier' but this is a whole other type of crying, if that makes sense.

  • Hmmm. I don't think mine is on the same lines but I have collapsed on to the floor and started crying from really good orgasms. That was a "happy cry". I don't think you mean the same thing?

ETA: Sorry I'm still practically waking up. Just re read your post and yes, I guess I've had the same thing happen LOL

  • I've had this happen, but only if there are other things going on in my life that are very emotional.

    Are you penting things up?

  • Yes, I've had this happen, but like someone else said, it's when I have emotional situations going.
  • Yes, I have had this happen a few times - especially when the orgasm is very intense.  I actually think it is kind of cathartic.

Yeah, or if the way we've just done it is really sweet and emotionally intense.

  • I have. It doesn't happen often and I really never understood why I have.

It's true, it really isn't a happy or sad cry, just some sort of emotional release. It doesn't last long either.

  • I do this sometimes.

for me, it just means it was a REALLY good "O".

i also laugh, everytime i have an "o".  again, its kind of a release... i dont have to have anything emotional going on in my life...

my boyfriend just knows that if he gives me a good orgasm i bust out laughing and if he has given me a great one i cry (a little) and laugh at the same time...

    i never questioned it...

  • Can't say this has happen.  Normally I get all this dam energy after wards and have to go do something else.

This. There are just times when I can tell how much he really loves me and it makes me feel real special that I cry. The first time I cried because it was such an emotional step.

I am the opposite! If it is real, real, good, all I want to do afterwards is sleep!

I have always said sex can be the best sleep-aid! Smile

  • No....I've never experienced this.
  • This has happened to me 1 time...it was after an amazing BIG O! Usually though I am sleepy and ready for sleep!
  • Nope, never. I didn't even know this happened to people...

I'm totally the same way, this is why I love weekend morning sex, after that I'm up and ready to take charge of the day!

  • This happens to me. It doesn't happen all the time and it doesn't happen after every climax, its just more random. I didn't know if happened to anyone else either so I'm glad you posted.?
  • This has happened to me only twice, both times when my emotions and/or hormones were on overdrive.

Freaked the crap outta my poor fiance lol.

Exactly this. And it really does feel cathartic. And usually only happens after a really intense O. Glad it doesn't freak H out lol. He knows by now that it's actually a good sign.

Ditto this and also ditto Daring Miss. For me, it doesn't have anything to do with how I feel about H or how he feels about me, really. And H doesn't usually notice since it only lasts a second.

  • i have done that when me and dear husband love making is full of passion and emotions and love sorry if i release 2 much info. it dont happen alot but when it do happen WOW lol
  •   Care to list what your DH does and how? There are some here who would like to know.
  • This has only happened to me with my boyfriend of 5 years, never with my ex-husband. For me, it is about the passion and intense emotions during love making that culminate into this huge release.......for me it is a happy cry. Usually I end up laughing too! Thanks for posting this question. I've always wondered if this happened to anyone else!
