Pottery Barn ?

Has anyone ordered any furniture from PB? What is the quality like? Was it worth the money you paid? Are you pleased with the pieces you ordered vs. seeing it in the catalog or online?

Re: Pottery Barn ?

  • I can't speak to Pottery Barn, but you might check out Overstock.com. I've often found the same piece that PB is selling on Overstock for a lot less. There again, I've also found an Ashley Furniture coffee table that would sell for upwards of $400 for $145.

  • I love that store but no...I have never made a purchase there, just eye candy.  We got our furniture from Ashley furniture.  Does Pottery Barn have a review section in which you can read buyers feedback?
  • I've never bought furniture there...just curtains and accessories from the outlet near my friend's house. I've never heard anything bad about their furniture, though. SIL has a rattan chair from there that has held up really well over the last 7 years or so, but I don't know about the wood stuff or sofas or anything.
  • I worked for Williams Sonoma once upon a time and they're the same company and my discount applied there too.  My mom and dad wanted the bedframe that has drawers built into it for storage and they absolutely love it.  It comes sorta flat packed and you have to assemble a little bit but not much.  I've never bought uphoulstered furniture though.
  • YES!!  And we LOVE everything!!  We have a couch from Pottery Barn and we absolutely love it!  My hubby had it for about 2 years before I moved in and I've been here about 2 years... and it's holding up great!     We also have a coffee table, a matching bar,  and a couple lamps... ALL of which are super sturdy and rather heavy pieces of furniture.

The only down side is that they can be a little pricey.

  • Thanks ladies for all the help I will be making my purchase from PB this week, The Bedford Project table for my studio/office. It is on sale so that helped out with the pricey range of it and it has free shipping! WOOT WOOT it must be my lucky week!
