I'm done with this bull shiiiit cold stuff. I'm sick of running water at night, having the dog sleep in the bed with me, and wearing more clothes too bed than humanly possible. I was not cut out for this nonsense.
I have had to put a light on my toilet to keep the lines from freezing because it was on an outside wall, light fires daily. I am miserable and haven't felt my feet in three days.
I live in the south for a reason damn it!!
I am not built for cold, i miss humidity, and hate dry skin.
end rant.

plus, i'm pregnant and its hard enough to look cute, no less with all the layers of clothing i have to wear! i look like a big fuzzy ball.

We took down 8 trees this weekend. It was a site to see. 80 ft. pine tree had to come down. It was impressive.
Roof is next. Of course dave is out of town for the next three days. The guys are suppose to come look at it again tonight. Hopefully it should be fixed next week.
We have a raised house, so the pipes are exposed, this is what is causing all the precautions, and freezing. We're lucky though, we had three neighbors with busted pipes, and all the hardware stores are out of insulation and piping, not to mention wal mart has a sign on the door that it is out of all "scarves, gloves, sweaters,sweatshirts, coats, jackets and wool socks"
I mean really. We aren't made for this. One week of hard freezes is just too much.

The cold is insane.
I felt weird complaining about the 30-degree temps in Florida on Saturday while it was -15 at home. But at least our cold temps are somewhat expected.
Hope it warms up soon for you guys!

My hands are so dry and cracked this year- I don't know if it is ONLY b/c of the bitter cold, or if the maniacal hand washing is adding to it.
My knuckles are cracked and bleeding. Ugh.
