Good Morning :)

Happy Monday, ladies!

I'm up early (well, earlier than I have been all month) in an attempt to retrain my body for when I start teaching classes at the end of January. I hopefully will actually do something productive today as well aside from just "getting up before 10." This week starts meetings/orientations/classroom prep/etc., so I have to "work," but it is all very limited and most is on my own time or when I feel like it. As such, it would be very easy for me to spend the morning playing Wii or watching telelvision...I'm trying to avoid that.

Any big plans for the week?

Re: Good Morning :)

  • You ARE up early. I'm barely awake and it's 10:30 here.

This week - looking at another house and meeting our mortgage broker in person. :)

  • Good morning!

Hopefully my big plans for the weeks will be getting back into an exercise routine so my clothes can start fitting again! :)

Oh, and I consider playing Wii being productive!

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

  • Today kind of sucks as I am the only one at the office...I finished all of my work today.  Not sure how I am going to make the time fly by.  I did bring a book so hopefully that will help!

Thursday I am meeting my old coworker for lunch and I get to meet his son for the first time.  They adopted a little boy from S. Korea.  I am also do a "craft" night with some friends.  Going to try to make a blanket out of her old tshirts.

I am flying to Milwaukee on Friday to spend the weekend with my college roommate.  Her son (crazy to think she has a kid) turns 1!

  • Well, looks like this may be a good week for my one and only goal (getting back into a fitness routine). My sweet husband just found a rec center in our sleepy, sad little town that has a gym, cardio machines, classes, and racquetball courts(!!!!!) for hella cheap. He's gonna go sign me up since he already has a gym membership elsewhere, and just pay a nominal fee when we go play racquetball together.  I'm so excited! I haven't done cardio since like August when my last gym membership expired (and I wasn't working so I couldn't afford to renew, and then we moved).

  • I just left class a little while ago and am still on campus waiting around for my lab at 3pm. We're dissecting a cat today and I am NOT looking forward to that.

The cat isn't too bad, it just smells. Really bad. Do not use your normal hand lotion today before or after class because you will forever associate the smell with the cat. If you need lotion, go buy something cheap at a drugstore.

Ick!  I thought dissecting a frog was bad no way could I cut open a cat.

  • I actually found a way to skip all biology courses in HS so I did not have to disect anything.  There is no way I could do that.

As for my plans, I have a lot of house cleaning to do, find a new place because we gave our notice at our current apt and need to be out by the end of Feb., and going to IA next weekend to visit family.  Also playing with my new toy - I got a Droid this weekend and have hardly put it down since Sat.

Ditto.  I think I would throw up if I had to dissect anything.

This week sounds super exciting so far.  Pretty much a continuation of last weeks get back into a fitness routine.  Maybe going to the "white out" game for U of L tonight if DH can find an extra ticket.  Writing this out makes me realize that we have absolutely nothing planned beyond tonight for the week which means I'll probably get to catch up on my new addiction "Jersey Shore" since I watched episodes 1-3 yesterday and need to see 4-7 by Thursday before the new one is on.  Yeah my life is a little pathetic right now.

  • why did I open this while eating my lunch?  Ick!
  • Sorry Philly!

  • this week is sort of a big one for us.

DH has an interview tomorrow morning with a company in St. Croix, VI!

Not sure how I feel about this...we both kind of have the attitude "if it's meant to be, it will be" but I think I REALLY want him to get the job...we are practicing questions tonight.

J9 GTG at Cobride's?  In all seriousness, that would be so exciting.  GL!

In high school my class got to dissect a lion and kangaroo, but I couldn't stomach it, and was able to just leave class. But Leigha is right, don't use any lotion that you like.
