Hawaii Nesties
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

For those with their extra cranes lying around...

I ran into this cool article:

The Crane Chandelier Project

January 2011

Worldwide

Let your commitment become part of something extraordinary.

The Wedding Co. is building a chandelier from thousands of origami cranes which have come from engaged couples around the world.

The goal is to collect 10,000 of these peaceful tokens of love by January 2011 when The Wedding Co. will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The final creation will be a visual representation of a worldwide community of engaged and newly married couples - a community that already shares so many invisible ties. Each crane will represent one couple?s leap of love, commitment and patience.

For each crane we receive, we will donate ?50 to cancer research.

How cool to be part of something so big! 10,000 past, present, and future brides!  I think I might have to make one just so I can send one in!  :)

Here's the link if anyone is interested (you'll have to scroll down a little bit to get to the actual article - I think it's the second one on the page):
