Mornin ladies. How were your weekends?

Today is rough for me, after having two weeks in a row with 3.5 days off, the weekend felt like an hour, not 48!

But today is a great day, DH started his new job!! Hopefully it is going well :-)

Our weekend was good, even though it was short. We had a couple over and did fondue Saturday night, then yesterday was my SIL's shower, which was fun. I felt her baby move more than I ever had before, which was awesome! I even felt her little foot in there. So freakin cool, makes me even more excited to feel my own baby!

Re: Mornin ladies. How were your weekends?

  • Yay for your H starting his job!  So exciting!  My weekend was really good.  It was so uneventful.  I took Luka out to Great Brook both Saturday and Sunday.  H and I went to Casa Blanca Saturday night.  I am looking forward to next weekend as it is a three day weekend for me!
  • rough. Friday was a follow up visit for DS on his ear infection and I knew that he still had it because Tues was the last day of meds. Wed night he was up a bunch of times screaming so that is how our nights went from Wed-Sat. We got a new antibiotic to give him and last night it was def working because he only woke up once.  Yeah I really needed that sleep. Plus, he was refusing to nap all weekend which makes for a long day esp when MH siad he was working form 8-12on Sat and it turned into 8-4pm. I was not a happy camper. I just needed a break. And I got nothing done around the house.

  • Mine was very uneventful. DH had army drill on Saturday so I just pretty much stayed around the apartment. I went grocery shopping and then went to work. Yesterday was a day spent with the hubby and then went to work again.

Today and tomorrow are actually my weekend. I worked the last 7 days so I'm welcoming these days with open arms. DH and I are going to Umbria Prime in Boston for dinner and then tomorrow we're going to see the house in Westborough.

  • Mine was decent-- I was on call & it was quiet... knock on wood! I went to BodyPump on Saturday and then DH & I ventured to Kittery & Portsmouth- rejoined BJs and stocked up on some essentials. Yesterday we went to my parents to watch the game (blah- so disappointing) and had a relaxing evening.

DH flew out for work at 6 am (had to wake up at 3!)... so it was an early night.

Ugh, what a way to start the week!

Our weekend was low-key but definitely flew by.  On Saturday we did some stuff around the house and took my grandfather out to dinner for his birthday that night, followed by some Wii time with DH :)  Yesterday we had Taiwanese dim sum with my family and then spent the rest of the day running errands and generally catching up on post-holiday stuff.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • Mine was very domestic.

We woke up on Saturday morning to find that the heat was off- DH had forgotten to fill the boiler (and I didn't know he ever did this or that it needed to be done at all), so it shut itself off... or something. It was 54 when I got up at 10am to go to the bathroom. DH went in the basement and fussed with everything, but we just went back to bed to wait for the heat to come on, so I could shower (we had hot water, but I wasn't about to step out of a warm shower into a 54 degree bathroom).

We took all the Christmas decorations down :(, *walked* our tree down to the tree drop-off place, which was about 2 blocks from our house, then went to Home Depot to buy a bunch of random stuff we needed. I hate Home Depot- it's impossible to find anything there, and half the stuff on our list, I have no idea what it is or what it looks like. I was SO glad to get out of there.

  • We went to NYC for the weekend. J was in a show in the city, so it was a fun time. We ate lots of yummy food (lots of NY cheesecake in particular,) We went to the giant Toys R Us in Times Square which was a lot of fun. I was good though, I didn't buy a thing. I pretty much froze all weekend, but it was still a lovely time!

  • Aw Lucky I'm sorry your son is still sick. I'm glad to hear the new meds are working, hopefully it all clears up for good soon.

  • Also rather domestic.  Got the x-mas stuff down so I have my living room back, but we also went out and got a storage unit so that we would stop having piles in every corner of every room.  It's like the tubs of summer/winter stuff, suitcases, fabric tubs etc.  I'm itching to get home today to go load up more stuff for the storage unit.  The only downside is that I feel like their hours are kind of limiting 8-6 weekdays (I sometimes at school til 6), weekends are okay, but DH is always running late, so yesterday he was like we have until 4, well at 3:30 we start loading the car!

I hope your hubby enjoys his new job. i'm sorry that you don't have a husband though! My H is getting ready to accept an offer today and I'm so happy, yet so sad!

  • Weekend was pretty good (except the game). It went by in the blink of an eye.

I've heard great things about Umbria. Let me know how it is!

  • lazy, and I'm ok with that.

I cleaned the toilet, did a load of laundry, and took down Christmas... filled my quota! ;)

Umbria was good! I loved the whole ambiance and the service. Everything was really good except for my dish (short ribs), too fatty. Otherwise, we had a wonderful evening. Even got a tour of the lounge and nightclub upstairs.
