How can I make a Snickers Truffle??
I made the cake balls - and they were a huge hit.... but a friend asked me to make ones that have almost a "snickers" filling. I found a recipe for snickers fudge that might work - but it's time intensive. Anyone have a quick/easy tip other than putting a snickers candy inside the dough?
Re: How can I make a Snickers Truffle??
Oh Tammy - good idea.
Samantha... they're baked cake, crumbled, mixed with a can of icing - shaped, frozen, then dipped into melted chocolate.... HEAVEN...
There has got to be a way. I know with Oreo Balls you mix the oreos with cream cheese....
I would think you would do a caramel nut center with chocolate coating. Well, pretty much what Tammy said..LOL.
if you want them round, they're so easy to make....
one chocolate cake (I used devils food) - baked in a 9x13 pan. Cooled.
When cooled, crumble it up into a bowl and add 1 can cream cheese frosting. mix until moist clump.
Shape into balls (1" or 1.5") and freeze for 20 minutes
Dip into melted chocolate and add toppings, if desired (nuts, sprinkles, etc). You can also insert a lollipop stick so they're cake ball pops!
I know all about the bakerella craze but I had no idea these were called cake balls.
Goes to show ya!
U know I
Bakerella.
I think you should take the oreo truffle recipe and the Bakerella cupcake pop recipe and merge them, substituting snickers for oreos. But I am sure with some searching you can find another blog with a similar recipe you can make your own.
