to buy a dining room set from. Looking for something quality but also reasonably priced. My style would be transitional (not traditional but not quite modern). We have dark (espresso) and cherry colored woods throughout the house.
Needs: At least 8 chairs (10 is even better...I have a big family!), leaf, china cabinet.
I had a set all picked out and ready to buy in the next few weeks but when I looked today they were sold out! In my past experience w/ Costco.com furniture, there's no telling if/when they'll ever re-stock it so gotta start over again. Guess that's what I get for trying to spread out our spending
.

Re: Reco a Furniture Store
We get a lot of our furniture at Furniture Row. The prices are reasonable and they have a pretty good selection. Furniture Fair is good too.
We bought both our dining room table and chairs and matching buffet/server as well as our kitchen table and chairs from Furniture Row and have been very happy.
We've gotten all of our wood furniture from Woodcraft. They have a ton of options in-store plus a few hundred books to flip through. They do custom finishing. Prices are amazing, too.

Our table and hutch set is a hand me down but is from Bassett. It is 20+ years, and still going strong. If/when we start looking I would start looking there again.
This exactly. ANy piece of furniture that we have bought for our house has come from them. Their OhioPike store (Amelia) is now an "outlet", but not in the traditional sense. It's more lines that are being discontinued, thus reduced in price, however you still order it and pick from different styles, colors, etc. Their customer service is amazing, too.
