Need help with my sisters shower

For some reason planning my wedding was so much easier and yet with this I am so overwhelmed.

First and most important I have no idea where to have it. I had mine at a restaurant but I'm having the worst time finding one for her. She did such a wonderful job with my shower I'm afraid that anything I do for her won't compare.

There are so many color schemes/themes/times of day etc and I'm going crazy!

I thought about a Tiffany blue color scheme although I don't know if that's cheesy. I also thought about doing a dessert/champagne shower in the middle of the afternoon (mine was brunch and while I loved it I'm trying really hard not to do the same thing she did for me).

I also thought about going with a lot of candles since they both love candles so much. I thought about using them as favors and giving them a candle basket with the poem.

I know we talked at book club about a tea theme and I saw that you can do high tea at the Ritz so I considered that too.

Re: Need help with my sisters shower

  • I think these are all great ideas!  I am loving the Tiffany blue theme with a dessert/champagne menu.  How farking cute...

I would definitely start with a location since everything else will probably revolve around that.  Once you have a date/location nailed down, figure out a time and then a theme.  Once you have all that nailed down, you can work on the details.  It's going to fall together, I promise!  And if you need any help at all, let me know.  I love planning stuff like this!

  • A fun kick to the Tiffany blue color is with a poppy red color (instead of white). There's a inspiration board for a wedding with the color combo here.

My shower was the middle of the afternoon. I loved it...there were apps (finger foods), drinks and dessert!

Not sure about shower favors...candles sound great! Edible also works everytime haha. :)

  • The Ritz tea is affordable AND you would save on decorations. You could also just use their wedding colors and carry it over into the shower invitations.

What time of year is the party?

  • Belle, that whole idea is wonderful! You should go with your instincts. They'll love it.
