I know this is rather personal and maybe TMI but I'm just so excited (although I'm dog sick right now hahahhahaha).
After my surgery for removing my endo I was still having pain on my right side. I decided right after Christmas to go Gluten Free and see if an old problem that was never fully discovered could be the reason. The first time DH and I had sex after the surgery there was still some pain on my right side...where they didn't find anything...weird. So I thought...it's easy to try and I don't need to go to a doctor to go GF.
Well...I've been pain free since around new years. The first few days there was pain and I thought it wasn't going to work. There is some minor minor pain but I mean it's so minor sometimes I wonder if I'm making it up so I don't really count it. I'm still not putting all my eggs in one basket...waiting a menstrual cycle to see if the pain comes back but right now...it's bliss.
Last night after a few weeks because of being sick, monthly, busy and tired and honestly....I've been scared of pain, we had sex last night and for the first time in YEARS...it was completely and utterly pain free. I can't even describe what it's like to have not have pain with sex after all these years, and I'm talking like 5 years....a looong loooong time to be in pain. I had gotten so used to it and it really impacted our sex life more than I know....we have so much catching up to do because I really never wanted to do it because of the pain and last night I just realized how much this problem impacted us.
It does make me slightly made that for years when I went to my old OBGYN and told them about my pain they ignored me. I went years undiagnosed, years of pain, hurt my sex life with DH and felt like I was crazy. There is a small part of me that wants to call these doctors up and tell them and hope they won't be so closed minded to future patients.
