So I get on FB this morning and my little sister announces that she is going to have my nephews 2nd birthday party at Disneyland and who wants to come (yes, ever the etiquette queen she postes an open invite on FB, I am of course assuming she will not be paying admission for anyone), at the end of April. Gee family, have fun. I am pretty sure that at 9 mos preg I am not going to be up to flying to So Cal (not even sure if they'll let me) or driving 6+ hours to get to Disneyland. Just a little bummed out that they are planning a family birthday party to Disney when I can't go.

I love Disney.
Re: Bummed Out
Boooo! I'm sorry, lady. I'd be bummed too.
Thats sooooooo lame!
I would save a disney type bday for when they are like 5 or 6 and realllly comprehend Disney. a 2yo doesnt get it quite yet.
I totally agree with this.
Ditto on this one. Two does seem young for Disney. Either way it still sucks you can't go!
I agree too! I mean, sure go to Disney that's always fun, but a birthday party??? Of course, I am bitter and jaded right now.
That does really stink! I'd wanna go! And agree w 2 being too young.
ditto to this! I went to Disneyland for the first time at age 2 and don't even remember it!
This too!
Boo, that does suck!
But don't worry too much about it, there'll be other opportunities, and the last thing on your mind at 8-9 months pregnant is going to be Disney
That sucks eggs!
I agree with the child being too young. J says Scarlett will not know that Disneyland actually exists until she is a pre-teen. ...Which will be a tough sell considering we currently live on the same street as Disneyland...
I wouldn't go that far. I think a 5 or 6 year old would like it the best.
I had friends and family go when I was preggers, too. I haven't been since before the wedding and I could literally walk there. (I'd be exhausted, but it's still theoretically possible.)
I know it sucks that you won't be able to go. I will likely miss out on a couple of things this year with my pregnancy. My sister is getting married in October, so I don't know if I'll be able to make any of her showers, and one of my bff's and a BM in my wedding is likely getting married this summer and I think it will be too close to my due date to fly to upstate NY where she is planning to get married.
I agree that 2 is too young, but my whole family went to Disney World for my nephew's first time in October. He turned 3 in August and he had the time of his life. On the monorail into the Magic Kingdom he was shouting "Mickey, we on da way!" He had the best time on the rides. I don't know if he'll remember it or not, but the 8 adults who went with him will!
