Where to Staycation/What to do in Edmonton?
DH and I are looking to make a little vacation for ourselves in or very nearby our hometown of Edmonton (i.e. not as far as Calgary or the rockies) this spring for DH's 25th Bday and our 3rd anniversary at the end of april/early may for a long weekend/midweek. Any ideas on where to stay or things to do at that time of year not WEM related? TIA!

there used to be a train ride you can take in Stettler, not sure if that is still happening? hmm all my ideas were West Edmonton Mall related :P

Cold Lake's not too far... It might be neat to go see... And on the way there is the largest perogie to see...
I have been but it was for a wedding and for camping.
I don't think the Queen runs till after the May long weekend, but I've always wanted to try the brunch at the Mac, but it's always booked. I'll have to call way ahead, but great idea! We actually got married there, so it would be nice to revisit around our anniversary.
