Saved a doggie today

I was going back to work and a dog was running down the middle of the highway.  I pulled over and it jumped right in my car!  It had tags on it so I called the vet and it ran the rabies tag and found the owner.  The owner called me and I returned him safely back home.  That made my day because I know I'd be lost if something had happen to my doggies.

  • That was so kind of you.  Look at how many people drove past and didn't do anything.  That poor dog was probably so scared to jump in your car like that.  We thought Louie got out of my parent's backyard a few days ago.  I was freaked out.

  • Wow! Good for you! The owner must have been so relieved!
  • Thats so sweet. Im glad he will make it home safely!
  • I stop for any dog anymore.  I've had a few scares of ours getting out and one time they were gone all night and I've never been more scared or upset in my life.  I certainly dont want another family going through that...or the animal I can only imagine what's going through their minds when they are lost.

  • That is awesome!  I would be lost without my puppy!

  • Yes This gave me warm fuzzies after a hellish day.
  • What a great story!  Good for you...I am sure the owner was releived to have his little baby back.
  • Good for you! We always stop if we see a dog running loose. The one time we stopped and called the owner she came driving over to where we were and found out she was in labor but refused to go into the hospital until she found her puppy! I was so glad we stopped and called her!
