Anyone plan on watching American Idol?

I was pretty much over the show by last season, so no, I'm not planning on watching it. If there's nothing else on I may catch a few minutes to see how the show is with Ellen, but that's it.

Do you think they added Ellen for this reason?So that some viewers will watch just to see her?!

I don't think I could get into another season (i've actually probably only watched one season faithfully and kept up with maybe 3 or 4 total seasons) it seems to be the same old stuff each time...

I'm trying to cut down on my tv time, so no, I won't be watching this season. Last season was rough with too many judges anyway. I read this is Simon's last season.

I've watched every season but the first one. I'm looking forward to seeing Ellen on the show. I'm also wondering- with Simon's announcement that he's leaving the show after this season- will this be the last season of the show? I can't imagine that they'd have much of a show without Simon.

DH and i always enjoy the first few episodes for the bloopers... even though i know most of them are staged! we will probably catch it if nothing better is going on.

Probably not. I've only ever watched the really awful auditions on YouTube... I've never actually watched an entire episode on tv.

i dont usually watch the big interviews in the cities unless I dont have anything else to watch that nite. But once its down to either 20 or 12 people then I start watching. I havent watched every season but have enjoyed the few i did watch. My big ones I watched were teh season with Clay and Rueben and then last year. So i plan to watch this year esp. since I can see it eitehr being the last one or it changing a lot after this year

I used to be all about it but two seasons ago I was pretty much done. I watched very little last season and didn't miss it. I truly doubt I will watch this season. I don't see it going much further than one more season anyway.

I prefer Biggest Loser now.
